tbr - Tab Budget Reminder

Last updated: April 5, 2026

What the extension can access

tbr can read your open tabs so it can count them and respond to tab events such as opening, closing, activating, replacing, and updating tabs.

When the page-border warning is enabled, tbr can also inject and remove CSS on the active HTTP or HTTPS page using the browser permissions declared in the manifest.

What is stored locally

The extension stores your warning settings locally in the browser using extension storage. This includes the thresholds and visual options you choose in the popup.

How data is used

All functionality happens locally in your browser. tbr does not use a remote backend, and it does not send your tab data or settings to a server.

Your data is not sold or shared with third parties.
